Brookhaven's Seminar Snapshots "Getting on With It: Presenter: Jeff Rindt, MA, LPC Date: April 5, 2006 Synopsis: The fact that 50% of Americans cite the loss of a love as the most difficult emotional experience of life was lost on Jeff Rindt, until he experienced the slow death of his own 18-year marriage to his High School sweetheart in 1998. “When it finally came apart, the pain was incredible”, he recalls. “The loneliness and the loss of the context of my family life were devastating. For the first time, I realized how frustrating it is to feel debilitating pain and be powerless to extricate yourself it because, after all… it’s inside you.” During that difficult season, Jeff learned the secrets of recovering from the worst kind of heartbreak and has written a groundbreaking CD series based on his experience called “Getting On With It! Surviving, Thriving and Living to Love Again.” The “GOWI Series” features 24 professionally mastered audio CD’s and a 300 page workbook packed with personal inspiration and proven therapeutic techniques for recovering from any love loss, no matter how badly it hurts or how long the relationship lasted. Jeff moved to Tulsa from Phoenix in 2003 to record the “Getting On With It” series and, upon it’s completion, joined a private practice with Dr. Jay Kent-Ferraro. Jeff’s work focuses primarily on helping couples restore their relationships and on helping people move on after love loss, without suffering a life-long injury to their self-esteem and their ability to live happily. To offer a curriculum for the entire continuum of relationship needs, He and Ferraro are co-authoring a CD/DVD series called “Loving By Design” for couples looking to renew their love lives. When Jeff relaxes, he enjoys reading, golf and the company of his sons and friends. What little extra time he has is consumed by creative pursuits both in and out of his profession. He recently finished two songs for the movie “The Christmas Child” airing on The Lifetime Television Network and is currently shooting, editing and producing a 30-minute infomercial for the “Getting On With It Series” that will air nationally in the Spring of 2005. He’s also constructing a new web site (relationshipsandrecovery.com) and is writing a test with Dr. Chan Hellman at Oklahoma University called the Rindt-Hellman Index designed to measure the post-relationship impact of love loss. 888-298-HOPE (4673) |
