During his presentation, Dr. Doty discussed some of the areas of professional practice which put therapists at the greatest risk of an ethics complaint or legal difficulty. Basic principles for dealing with requests from lawyers or the courts and a helpful list of legal Do's and Don'ts were also presented.

Dale R. Doty, PhD

Dr. Doty, PhD has served as the President of the Oklahoma Association For Marriage and Family Therapy Divisional Affairs Council for two terms. He is an Approved Supervisor for the American Association For Marriage and Family Therapy, a State Licensed Social Worker, a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist and a Board Approved Supervisor for both social workers and marital and family therapists. He currently serves on the Licensed Marital and Family Therapist's Advisory Board.
